Each lot we ship can be traced from its batch number to the paddy it came from, the unit that milled it, the laboratory report behind it and the shipment it left on.
A batch number is only useful if it opens a chain of records. These are the six links we keep for each lot, in the order the Rice moves from the field to the container.
The number that identifies one production lot. It appears on the packing list and the bag marking, and it is the reference to quote when you ask us to trace a lot.
Where the paddy was grown, under our contract farming programme or by the growers we buy from, recorded when it reaches the mill and is inspected.
When, and at which of our three units, the lot was cleaned, dried, husked, milled, polished, sorted and graded.
The results from our quality control laboratory for that lot, plus the accredited residue report where residue free Rice is contracted.
The packing run on our automatic weighing and bagging line, with the pack format and, for private label, the print run of your bags.
The container, the sailing from Karachi Port and the documents that travelled with it, from the invoice and packing list to the certificate of origin.

Green International runs its own backward integrated contract farming system for Basmati and Non-Basmati Rice. That puts pesticides, aflatoxins and the other critical quality parameters under control from planting, rather than tested for only at the end.
From there the paddy moves through our silos, mills and laboratory, and each step is recorded against the lot. When a buyer asks where a bag came from, the answer is a record, not a guess.
What buyers ask about tracing a lot.
Rice traceability is the ability to follow one lot from the bag back to where it was grown, and forward to where it was shipped. For a buyer it answers a simple question: where did this Rice come from, and what was done to it on the way? Product tracing is also a recognised part of food inspection systems under the Codex Alimentarius guidelines.
On the packing list that travels with your shipment and on the bag marking. Quote it to us and we pull the records for that lot.
Yes. Every lot is tested in our own quality control laboratory, and for pesticide residue free Rice the residue report travels with the shipping documents. Ask with the batch number and we send the report for that lot.
No. Send the batch number by email to info@greenriceexports.com or on WhatsApp, and we reply with the records for that lot: paddy source, processing date, laboratory report, packaging lot and shipment. The same records back any question from your regulator or your customers.
Because a question about a shipment, from a regulator, a retailer or your own customer, needs an answer backed by records. With the chain in place, you can show where the paddy was grown, when it was milled, how it tested and when it sailed.
