Rice packaging in eight constructions and eleven sizes. Automatic packing units and computerised bagging scales fill consumer packs from 1 kg and bulk bags to 50 kg, in the material your market and shelf expect. Packaging is printed to your artwork or ours, and every bag in a run is filled to the same checked weight. Every size ships in export grade bags, sealed and stacked for the container.
Every construction below is filled on the same line, to the same checked weight, and printed to your artwork or ours.

The bag the Rice trade began with: reusable, long lasting and still the first choice for Basmati in the Gulf. A woven PP, non woven or jute inner can be added, along with a top handle and your choice of stitching and thread colour.

Soft printed cotton for retail shelves and trade shows, in any colour and any size. A handle, a zip and a barcode label stitched at the side are all optional. The format buyers choose when the bag itself is part of the presentation.

Spun bonded polypropylene: strong, light and reusable, which is why shoppers keep it after the Rice is gone. An inner or outer polythene or woven PP layer can be added, with a handle and a zip.

The mainstream retail bag in Europe and North America. The film is laminated to the woven fabric, which gives a photographic print and a bag that holds its shape on a shelf. The print process is why this one takes longest to produce.

Light, breathable and tear resistant, the workhorse for bulk and wholesale. It is also the quickest construction to print, which matters when a shipment is already moving.

Heavy gauge polythene for buyers who want the grain visible on the shelf. Any part of the bag can be left clear, and the handle is rope, plastic or die cut. Master carton printing is required with this construction.

Recycled card, fully biodegradable, for the top of the range. An inner polythene, silver or gold foil bag protects the Rice, and the master carton is printed to match. The format for gift sizes and premium Basmati on a supermarket shelf.

Hard plastic finished to look like glass. A jar keeps the Rice dry once the pack is opened and stands out beside bagged competitors, which is why it is chosen for premium retail and for gifting. The master carton is printed to match.

| Channel | Sizes | Typical formats |
|---|---|---|
| Retail consumer | 1, 2, 5 kg | BOPP, LDPE, cotton, card box, jar |
| Family and ethnic grocery | 10, 20, 25 kg | PP non-woven, BOPP, jute |
| Wholesale and food service | 30 to 50 kg | Woven PP, jute |
Consumer packaging runs 1, 2, 5, 10, 20 and 25 kg. Bulk packaging runs 30 to 50 kg for wholesale, food service and repacking. Fill weights are set on computerised bagging scales for precise, repeatable weights across the run.
Packaging is designed to protect the Rice through the supply chain, extend shelf life and make handling simple from container to kitchen. We also take presentation seriously: bags are printed to be seen on a shelf, not only stacked in a warehouse.
Food contact materials and labelling follow the destination market rules, with the Codex Alimentarius definitions used where a contract does not name a national standard.

Fill weights are set on computerised bagging scales rather than by hand. It sounds like a detail until a supermarket weighs a sample off the shelf, or a wholesaler reconciles 1,000 bags against a bill of lading and finds the tonnage short. Consistent fill is the difference between a clean delivery and a claim.
The same applies to printing. Artwork is checked against the bag dimensions and the destination labelling rules before the run starts, so net weight, origin, variety and any nutrition panel sit where that market expects them.
Packed Rice is stacked on pallets or loose loaded depending on the container plan agreed at quotation.
Figures from our packing department. Pallets reduce the load, and pallet wrapping or strapping is required whenever pallets are used.
| Pack | Loaded in a 20 ft container |
|---|---|
| Jute, cotton, woven PP, BOPP and PP non woven bags at 25 or 50 kg | 25 to 26 metric tons |
| LDPE poly bags | 20 metric tons, or 18 with wooden or plastic pallets |
| Card box packs | 20 metric tons, or 18 with pallets |
| Jar packs | 20 metric tons, or 18 with pallets |
Minimum order is one metric ton on every construction except LDPE, where it depends on the pack size. Printed packaging takes 4 working days for woven PP, 10 for jute and cotton, 12 for PP non woven, 15 for card boxes and jars, and 45 for BOPP and LDPE.
Your brand, printed on any of these formats. Private label is how most of our Rice ships.
