D-98, registered as PK-385 and sold internationally as Sindhi Basmati, ripens earlier than traditional Basmati. That short season lets growers follow it with wheat on the same land, and it is a large part of why the variety stays affordable without dropping to non Basmati quality.
Buyers choose it for the combination that is hard to find: real Basmati elongation and a soft natural fragrance, in a long pearl white grain, at a price that sits below 1121 and Super Kernel. We mill it white and pack it from 1 kg consumer bags to 50 kg export bags.
D-98 is milled white and polished for colour and shine, then graded and colour sorted like every Basmati we ship. Its lustrous pearl white grain is a large part of its appeal, so the finish matters as much as the length.
It is packed from 1 kg consumer bags to 50 kg bulk bags, own brand or private label, and can be supplied as pesticide residue free Rice with a laboratory report where your market asks for one.

Yes, all three names describe the same variety. D-98 is the common trade name, PK-385 is the registered variety name, and Sindhi Basmati is what the international market calls it because it is grown mainly in the Sindh province.
It matures earlier, which lowers the cost of growing it and lets the farmer follow it with a wheat crop on the same land. The grain is genuinely aromatic Basmati with good elongation, but the aroma is lighter than Punjab Basmati, so it sits below 1121 and Super Kernel on price.
BasmatiThe grain nearly doubles in length in the pot and still comes out separate. This is the Basmati behind biryani, kabsa and mandi across the Middle East.
BasmatiGrowers call it the king of Rice. Extra long kernels, the strongest traditional fragrance in our range, and a cooked grain that stays fluffy and separate.
Non-BasmatiBuyers call it the Basmati look alike. A long grain of 6.8 mm or more with a soft natural flavour, grown only in the traditional Rice districts of Pakistani Punjab.
