More than six decades of milling and exporting, and sixty harvests behind us. GreenGroup at home, Green International abroad: a Karachi headquartered company with three mills, its own contract farming programme and buyers in more than 60 countries.

As Rice millers and exporters, Green International has produced, milled, processed and exported Pakistani Basmati and Non-Basmati Rice for more than six decades. Today we are counted among Pakistan's top ten Rice exporters, and the work still runs on the same principle: control the grain from the field, not from the invoice.
Paddy is grown under contract to our specification, dried and held in our own silos, milled and graded across three units, then tested in house before it moves to Karachi Port. One unit sits in the Punjab Rice belt where Basmati grows. Two sit in Karachi, minutes from the port.
We buy from farming communities we have worked with for years and hold ourselves to responsible practice at every link of that chain. Repeat business is the measure we run the company by.
The company exports under licence as a member of the Rice Exporters Association of Pakistan, which registers Rice millers and exporters in the country and represents the industry with government and overseas buyers.

Owning the chain from paddy to port is what separates Rice millers from traders, and what makes consistency possible. Each step below is ours to control and ours to answer for.
Basmati and Non-Basmati paddy grown to our protocols across more than 100 acres of Punjab plains, with pesticide and aflatoxin control managed in the field rather than at intake.
Temperature and humidity controlled Buffer and Kennedy silos with 80,000 MT paddy capacity. Rice ages before milling so the grain firms up and the aroma develops.
Husking at 50 MT per hour, processing at 60 MT per hour, length and thickness grading, then optical colour sorting.
Moisture, purity and grain testing on every lot in house. Third party inspection by SGS, Cotecna, BVQI or Eurofins on request.
Computerised bagging scales, eight bag constructions and private label printing. Containers are stuffed at the factory and moved to Karachi Port.
Written plainly, because a buyer can check any of it against the last container we shipped them.
To be the Pakistani Rice producer that sets the standard at home and abroad, growing through sustainable practice rather than at the cost of it, and to be known for reliability before anything else.
Competition and hard years have not changed how we sell. We stay close to our markets, visit them, hold Rice seminars in the region, and answer for every lot that carries our name.

The company started milling Rice in Punjab in 1960 and has been exporting ever since.
Six decades in the same trade changes what a mill knows. Green International began in the Punjab Rice belt in 1960, milling and exporting Basmati, and the three units running today grew out of that one line.
What carried over is the method: choose the paddy carefully, mill it on equipment that can hold a standard, and age it properly before it ships. What changed is the machinery around the method, from hand grading to colour sorters and laboratory testing on every lot.
Farming practice sits inside that. The fields we contract are worked under supervision, which is what lets us answer a residue question with a test result instead of an assurance.

Written by the company for buyers who want to know what comes next.
The last few years have been competitive and, in places, hard. Our view of what comes next has not changed. With our buyers and our suppliers behind us, we expect to come through stronger than we went in.
Practically, that means being in our markets more often rather than less. We are increasing market visits and running Rice seminars across the region, because a concern raised face to face gets answered properly.
The rest is the work itself: drying paddy correctly, husking, polishing, destoning and sorting on automated lines, and bagging to the weight the contract states.
Our Rice is on shelves and in kitchens across the USA, Canada, the UK and wider Europe, the Gulf states, Russia and Central Asia, Sri Lanka, Mauritius, Lebanon, Egypt, Morocco, Libya and other African markets, Australia, New Zealand and Armenia.
Buyers know the grain for its superfine kernels, its freshness, its shelf life and the aroma Pakistani Basmati is prized for. Because we are Rice millers rather than traders, the Rice they reorder comes off the same lines as the first order. We are actively opening further markets.
